 Review: Talking Shop with the Boss and The Box podcast

Every Friday night, as I walk in from a long day at work, there is a routine. I come home, clean up, eat dinner, pour myself a beverage, and turn on The Talking Shop with the Boss and The Box podcast! Comprised of Branden "The Boss" Blacker and LunchBox (one-word capital L capital B thank you very much... As he says...) These two dive into numerous topics with a wide array of guests that span the duo's many interests that include pro wrestling, music, self-help, and a wide array of other topics.  "The Boss and The Box" are great friends and colleagues, and they both play in their own respective bands.



The Boss plays drums in the San Francisco Bay Area Thrash metal outfit SUBURBAN PARANOIA who recently released the highly awaited record "Never Dies" which is available on Spotify. The Box is the utilitarian percussionist and hype man/backing vocalist for the Modesto Area stalwarts of the Central Valley NOTHING BUT LOSERS who are still riding high on their 2017 Self Titled release "Nothing But Losers" which is also available on Spotify.



Started in September of 2018, the "Dudes with Attitudes" as I call them, work really hard to bring you hilarious episodes with a cavalcade of guests that have spanned to their 87th episode at the time of publishing. With such past guests as members of Cursed, Wayne Famous of the Spazzmatics, members of the Randy Savages, Pro Wrestler Papo Esco, and yours truly just to name a few. They interact with guests with hilarious stories, music videos from guests, and drinking games that usually leave you hammered as you follow along. They take great care in providing a great and entertaining experience every week!






My favorite part of listening to this podcast every week is interacting with the other listeners in the live chat stream as we go along with the show and sometimes have our own interactions with the other listeners. You never know who will be on the chat stream so it's always cool catching up with old friends I have not seen in a while and more times than not I end up making friends with people I've never met before which is awesome! 





They do a magnificent job interacting with the audience as every week there is a shout out for every week listener and friend of the show Jordan Harrison!! (Hi Jordan!!) Also if you say something lame in the chat you will be heckled in a fun manner which is usually nine times out of 10 probably gonna be me which I'm fine with. Since I've been listening I rarely miss an episode and in my house even though it's late being they broadcast on the west coast and I'm here in Virginia it has become appointment listening!! Well... appointment viewing, as you can watch the show on Youtube!! The show is also available on Spotify, Itunes, Google Play, or wherever you get your podcasts!!

In the world of death metal and slam it’s hard not to like the mighty Internal Bleeding... Now before I write this a word of thanks... I just went through one of the worst times of my life right smack in the middle of doing the research for this blog and I took a week off... Watching I.B’s Smoke Sesh videos and listening to the band's latest album on Spotify really helped me get through some of the darkest days of my life and I thank them for that...  When I started getting into the extreme metal scene at The Workshop in Ceres California, Internal Bleeding is a band I heard a lot about and I would check em out on YouTube from time to time, and of course, they would be on my Spotify radar when that came to be and of course, I listened to everything I could researching this
