A look at Inhuman Condition “Rat God”

In my never-ending mission to bring you quality metal, I submit for your approval “Rat God” by Inhuman condition. Comprising of bassist & Florida Death Metal legend Terry Butler (Obituary, DEATH, Massacre, Six Feet Under) who has teamed up with fellow former Massacre bandmates Jeremy Kling (Venom Inc, The Absence, Goregäng) on drums/vocals and guitarist Taylor Nordberg to form masterfully crafted album brings a whole new level of heavy.
This album hits like a cement truck and has riffs that will have you bobbing your head to the groove to instantly breaking your neck from banging to these epic death metal licks. “Rat God” is everything you want in a death metal record with its crushing vocals to the absolute tightness of the band. Inhuman Condition brings a comforting familiarity to their music that takes you back to a place when Death Metal from Florida was king with blistering solos matches with riffs that don’t quit and monstrous vocals.
In what was supposed to be the new Massacre album written in the fall of 2019, “Rat God” saw new life in 2020 when Kling & Nordberg left Massacre and Teamed up with Terry Butler to form Inhuman Condition to release the music that was written. The album (along with 5 other songs to be released at a later time), features three guest solos by Rick Rozz (DEATH, MANTAS, MASSACRE), and guest lyrics/vocal patterns by CANNIBAL CORPSE drummer and lyricist, Paul Mazurkiewicz. "Rat God" was recorded, mixed, and mastered by Kling/Nordberg at their own Smoke & Mirrors Productions in Spring Hill, Florida. The artwork for the album was done by Dan Goldsworthy (ACCEPT, CRADLE OF FILTH, ALESTORM, XENTRIX)
Still relatively new on the scene, the group is set to release their debut album, "Rat God" on June 4th. The trio previously announced their partnership with Blood Blast Distribution to release the album on digital formats, a vinyl deal with Black Serpent Records (set for an August 6th release), and will self-release the CD via Kling/Nordberg's "Listenable Insanity Records", as well as several licensing deals with labels worldwide to release additional CDs.
This album is a prime example of what a good death metal album should sound like and with tracks like my absolute favorite “Tyrantula”, “The Neck Step” which is also an absolute banger and the colossal opening track “Euphoriaphobia” this is destined to be a death metal classic for years to come for this super sick lineup of badass musicians.
